Briqueterie Bouisset has been producing terracotta products in the Tarn region since 1878. Taken over in 2018 by two ceramic engineers, Eric Tardif and Olivier Joubert, the company has been modernizing year after year to ensure its long-term viability, while preserving craftsmanship that in some cases dates back centuries. The company was renamed Terres Cuites d’Occitanie in 2022. The clay from the quarry ensures a local—and therefore eco-friendly—supply and enables the products to withstand not only fire but also freezing temperatures.
Whether glazed or unglazed, the products offered come in a wide variety of colors and finishes. At Ephrem, we use terracotta facing tiles in particular for the facades of our baking ovens.
