As part of a press event organized by theAgence de Développement, the editorial staff of the magazine Côté Sud magazine traveled the region for a week to prepare a major report.
Journalists from Côté Sud magazine, which makes art de vivre, scenic beauty and interior design its DNA, discovered the region’s businesses from November 16 to 22, 2025. Their aim is to prepare a 20-page feature story for the March/April 2026 issue.
On the menu are around 30 addresses, including hotels, boutiques, restaurants, artisans and businesses… to showcase the know-how and richness of the 04 region.
Visit to Ephrem
Highlights included a visit to the Ephrem company in Villeneuve.
Virginie and Sylvain have opened the doors of their factory. Since the end of 2019, they have been writing a new page in the history of Ephrem.
Today, Ephrem has an ambitious development project, structured around three major axes:
- Technological innovation: wood-fired ovens 2.0, new-generation eco-designed masonry heater, mixed solar/biomass cooking system.
- Modernization of the business: creation of L’Office, a training center dedicated to wood-fired cooking; modernization of production; energy-efficient renovation of the site.
- Deployment of the 3-hectare estate: rehabilitation of a wasteland into the Ateliers du Lauzon, an agro-ecological experimentation zone, photovoltaic buildings to be rented out for activities linked to sustainable development – with the eventual prospect of a third-location facility.
This could lead to the creation of 5 to 10 additional jobs in the medium term.
